Fire Prevention Resources

Fire safety is a year-round priority. This section brings together resident-facing fire prevention resources designed to promote awareness, preparedness, and safe behaviors in the home.

Access resident-facing fact sheets, guides, and infographics that address common fire prevention risks in housing. These resources provide clear, practical guidance to help residents understand fire hazards, practice safe behaviors, and know what steps to take to reduce risk at home.

A short, educational video in which HAI Group’s Risk Control and Consulting team shares practical kitchen safety tips, including how to cook safely with oil and grease, what to avoid in the kitchen, and how to respond if a cooking fire occurs.

A resident-focused video that walks residents through what to do before, during, and after a fire. It covers evacuation planning, emergency preparedness, communication with housing staff, and steps to take during recovery to help keep residents and their families safe.

Fire Safety Poster Contest

HAI Group promotes the importance of fire safety to young residents through our annual Fire Safety Poster Contest, held in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week.

The contest invites young residents to use creativity to share fire safety messages while reinforcing important prevention concepts at home and in their communities. It aligns with Fire Prevention Week campaigns developed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and supports early, age-appropriate fire safety education.
